This isn’t intended to be a political post or political discussion, if this isn’t allowed, I apologize but something I’ve heard little or nothing about. Do the results of tonight’s midterms affect anything that directly affects us as enthusiasts, the future of local AI, etc. Does it change anything with hardware pricing or availability, the availability of open weights, the IPOs of Anthropic and OpenAI, safety laws, Chinese/US relations, etc. I’m legitimately curious.   submitted by   /u/Marino4K [link]   [comments]
