BTCUSD | BEARISH ANALYSIS Bitcoin / U.S. dollarBITSTAMP:BTCUSDAnsshhhh9Bitcoin has been showing bullish momentum over the past two days, but the broader higher-timeframe structure still gives me a bearish outlook. Looking at the 15M chart, price has recovered strongly after taking out the liquidity below the recent lows (LQS). We can also see a bullish market structure shift (MSS), followed by an impulsive move to the upside, leaving behind an FVG and a potential bullish order block. However, I'm not looking to chase this bullish move. My Analysis On the 1H timeframe, there is an unmitigated Fair Value Gap (FVG) around $79,600–$80,700, which is the main area of interest for a potential short. My idea is to wait for price to: 1. Break above the current resistance zone around $78,500–$78,700. 2. Continue towards the 1H FVG. 3. Reach the higher-timeframe supply/imbalance area and show signs of rejection. If price reaches this area and provides bearish confirmation, I'll start looking for a potential short opportunity. Potential Trade Plan - HTF FVG: $79,600–$80,700 - Resistance to break: $78,500–$78,700 - Stop Loss: Above the FVG, around $80,665–$80,700 - Target: Previous major low around $75,600 What I'm Watching The interesting part of this setup is the difference between the short-term and higher-timeframe direction. The 15M chart currently shows bullish momentum, while the higher-timeframe outlook remains bearish. I want to see whether this bullish move continues into the 1H imbalance before sellers potentially step in. No early entries, no chasing price. I'll wait for the reaction at the POI and proper confirmation before considering the setup. This is a conditional bearish scenario, not a prediction. If price doesn't give the expected reaction, there's no trade. Let's see how BTC reacts. Time - 8:30 PM, IST
