As someone who has lived in the mountains most of their life, there are some unwritten rules. High on the list is that you never ask to borrow a chainsaw - I might come over and saw the tree down for you, but don’t ask for my saw. Also high on the list, if you see neighbor digging a hole and burying something on their property, don’t ask! And certainly don’t sneak over in the middle of the night and dig it up - that’s just common sense.
