My Mac kept slowing down, so I opened Activity Monitor. It showed me about a thousand processes, and I still couldn't tell which app was the problem. Meanwhile the notch sat at the top of my screen all day doing nothing. So I built iSurge, a native Mac app in Swift and SwiftUI, on my own. It lives in the notch (or a small pill on Macs without one) and in the menu bar. Instead of a thousand processes, it adds each app's helpers up into the app, so you see "Google Chrome", not dozens of Chrome Helpers. Then it tells you in plain words which app is slowing your Mac down, with one button to fix it. Since then it grew the tools I kept opening next to Activity Monitor: each app's own volume, disk clean-up, a tab for developers (servers, ports, containers, Homebrew), a Focus Timer and Keep Awake, even with the lid closed. Your stats stay on your Mac. No account, no ads, no analytics. It's paid now: $14.99 once, with a 3-day free trial, no card. For Apple silicon Macs on macOS 15 or later. I'd love honest feedback, on the app or the site: what's confusing, what's missing?
