Built a free AliExpress price tracker (with AI help) because I got tired of fake discounts

Wait 5 sec.

This started as a pretty dumb habit. I’d find something on AliExpress, not buy it right away, and then open the same product page every morning to see if the price had moved. Sometimes it dropped, sometimes it went up for no reason, and I could never remember what it was the day before. A lot of the “-60%” deals also looked off, like the price had been bumped up a few days earlier. The coupon side was just as annoying. I’d copy a code from some random site, get to checkout, and it’d say invalid. Repeat. So I built an app. I’m not a pro dev and I made it with a lot of help from AI, so expect some rough edges. It’s called Coupela: you paste an AliExpress link, it keeps the price history in a chart, and you set the price you want to pay and get a notification when it gets there. There’s also a coupons tab where people vote on whether a code worked, and you can filter by country. In the screenshots: the projector one has the 11.11 and Black Friday dates marked on the chart, and the shirt one shows the price bouncing around over the last month. That second one is basically why I wanted the graph in the first place. It’s free and you don’t need an account. I get a small affiliate commission if you buy through the app, that’s the only way it makes money. Android only for now. Would really like honest feedback, especially on what’s confusing or what’s missing. submitted by /u/coupela [link] [comments]
