Hey everyone, I'm currently running Linux on my PS5 (CFI-1216A on FW 12.60) from an external drive and want to migrate my rootfs over to an internal M.2 NVMe SSD for better I/O speeds and stability. I have a spare PCIe Gen3 NVMe drive on hand and am looking to apply the 2 MB Gen4 header write method (cloning the initial LBAs to bypass GameOS's format lock). Since the original Bringus Studios 2 MB dump was pulled from older 4.xx firmwares and often gets rejected on newer revisions, does anyone have an updated 2 MB header dump taken from a Gen4 drive formatted on a modern firmware (10.xx–12.xx)? Alternatively, if anyone is running a Gen3 NVMe under PS5 Linux on recent firmware, did you take your own dump via `dd`, or is there a community repository with working images for newer builds? Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/Mother-Campaign971 [link] [comments]
