No, not save me financially. I'm not delusional. It's my first time to build an app and I'm building it for myself. I don't know if it will earn revenue, not to mention its core feature is free. But I'm hoping it would save me by keeping me "in line" and focused on just one thing at a time, because honestly, I'm about to lose everything because I can't. I was diagnosed with PTSD and anxiety. A lot of times too much ruminating cripple me. But I'm also somewhat of a well-known designer and content creator in my industry (a philosophycal society). This is tricky because my products and services are on demand, but I oftentimes lose clients simply because I could be so distracted that communications fail, and I lose them. I know the things I must do, always. I just somehow allow myself to be distracted by my plants, hobbies, arguments online, etc etc... it seems my brain assigns equal importance to all of them, so I'd try to do everything at once, and end up not finishing most of them–until it's panic time and I must perform and fulfill the task. My hope is that with the behavioral analytics engine of the app, it could provide me personal insights and help train my monkey brain focus more on things that matter and less on the needless things and hobbies that I obsess on. I combined the things I learned from CBT (5 minute rule) and my decades of immersion in Freemasonry with particular interest in psychology and esoteric aspects and poured it all in on this application. The app is currently on Alpha stage. I was able to finish the landing page last night. I'd like to know from you the "vibe" of the website (it has much darker theme when I started it, but it since evolved into something almost joyful), and I'd also like to know if the purpose of the app is clear from the get go. Thank you for your time. The link to the page is: https://accountabilitydemon.com/ submitted by /u/2balls1cane [link] [comments]
