Coolmore Goes To $3.1M For Claiborne-Bred Admit

The Claiborne Farm-bred and -consigned 4-year-old filly Admit (Blame–Profess, by War Front) offered the bloodstock community a rare opportunity to buy into one of the best families nurtured over the decades at the Hancock Family's operation. When the dust had settled on hip 204 at Keeneland November on Tuesday, it took a whopping $3.1 million from Coolmore to acquire the 2025 GII Valley View Stakes winner.“It's definitely a really hard decision,” said Claiborne's Walker Hancock of the decision to let go of Admit. “We've had the family since 1951 or whatever. Thankfully we still have a lot of the blood. So we have two other Blame mares in the family. We have a couple other daughters and hopefully they're active, bred to good stuff and some good stallions. So look, it's bittersweet. I hate selling. I'm probably going to regret it, but I don't know. Every once in a while you kind of have to do these things to kind of get some new blood.”Admit is a daughter of Profess (War Front), whose GI Frizette Stakes-winning dam Preach (Mr. Prospector) bred a dozen winners, including the influential sire Pulpit (A.P. Indy) and the stakes-placed Tell It (Storm Cat).Admit was bred to Life Is Good on an Apr. 1 cover. The post Coolmore Goes To $3.1M For Claiborne-Bred Admit appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
