A friend tried staying at another friend's house to watch his cat and 80 year old mother while the friend went to Paris. Third day he called to check up on how things were going. Housesltter told him that he was sorry but the cat died. Guy in Paris flew off the handle and attacked my friend. He said that it was wrong to just come right out and tell him in such fashion. Instead he should have said something like the cat was on the roof. Next call say the cat fell off the roof. Then you took him to the vet but it died. Ease into it rather than just blasting it out. Then he asked how was mom. My friend said " She's on the roof".
