ChocoPro 553: Otoki Celebration On the next ChocoPro: As we leave the best month in the rear view mirror and barrel on toward both the New Dawn show and later the debut of MxM in ChocoPro, November is shaping up to be a wild month! First off, we've got Akki checking how much Kaho has evolved since their last clash, the tag champs battle rivals Chie & Miya, and finally we celebrate another year of Tokiko with a Shin Black Comaneci main event against Mei & Choun! Buckle up for some classic autumnal Ichigaya bouts! There will occasionally be a Trainee Exhibition, but those are not announced. Let’s Go, ChocoPro Wrestling! 🍫 When it airs, it will be available HERE on YouTube! Don't forget to Adjust Your Volume, Wrestling is Loud! Need a change of pace? ChocoPro Wrestling is built different. Join us for this episode or check out the back catalog of hundreds of episodes on the YouTube channel...550+ ChocoPro’s with stories and pro-wrestling like you've never seen. New to the promotion? It features a roster of skilled veterans, rising stars, and wonderful guests usually fighting in the strange and wonderful ChocoPro Arena: Ichigaya Chocolate Square. This is not your regular wrestling show! In Ring Shows will be uploaded sporadically as well! Baliyan Akki ♠️ 🆚 Kaho Hiromi ⛵ MEGALOVANIA, Reprise “Evolution of India” Baliyan Akki will be once again providing Kaho with some direct lessons...and the fury of the Ace! Akki’s emoji is the Spade because he’s always filled that position for the promotion, with good reason. He has acknowledged Miya as the Ace now, so we have two! There are technically more for specific things, it's complicated... You can set your watch to Akki’s precision and timing, he sets the bar for quality. ChocoPro’s very own Ring General moves as if he was born for this (because he was). This top tier technician excels at everything that is put in front of him with effortless ease. Expect him to dazzle us all with his smooth flowing style. Akki is defined by his pinpoint precision in his strikes (though he’ll probably go a bit easier on the sailboat), endless creativity that blends total mastery of the basics with a deep hunger for innovation, and a confident yet effortlessly easygoing demeanor. He still carries himself with the aura of a champion, even without a belt. A once in a lifetime talent, definitely living up to his other moniker of “One in a Billion”! Seriously though, Akki is the backbone of the promotion and deserves praise for all the extra stuff he does behind the scenes. Even with him acting as a super hard mode boss rematch against Kaho, getting an Akki singles match in Ichigaya is a somewhat rare treat, so enjoy it! Put MEGALOVANIA on loop, because "Happy Smile" Kaho Hiromi is about to challenge that incredibly tough boss fight once again! Kaho’s matches are extreme survival battles, since she has to use her agility to fight a guerrilla style: one big hit usually ends her hopes and dreams! Don’t worry, the youthful prodigy has been able to navigate everything thrown at her with a sharp wrestling mind and a cheery attitude. She has already had a lot of big moments in ChocoPro, and her potential is limitless. Kaho is one of the best prospects of the promotion: this nimble tactician might just be a genius at pro-wrestling. Widely regarded as one of Ichigaya’s brightest up-and-comers, Kaho has a unique approach to the basics coupled with clever transitional setups to make up for her lack of experience and power. She comes up with new stuff every single match! She’ll once again need to focus on surviving at all more than trying to overcome the hierarchy, but keep in mind that Kaho has three juniors now that she will need to show out for! Ganbare, Kaho! Remember your experience from the last time! Obihiro Shokudo Sohonten (Sayaka Obihiro 💙 & Minoru Fujita 🐦) 🆚 Chie Koishikawa 🏵️ & Miya Yotsuba 🍀 Daybreak Ring the dinner bell, because the legendary combination known as Obihiro Shokudo Sohonten (Sayaka Obihiro & Minoru Fujita) are bringing a plate full of culinary combat prowess back to the Chocolate Square! While they might not always do it in an honorable way, the chefs have proven their worth and seized the Asia Dream Tag throne. Temporary Chef Minoru Fujita is known for his accolades in singles, deathmatches, and especially tags (also his angelic singing voice). This bird loving “Vice Principle” is a terror with endless endurance, a fierce brawler style, and a high level of technicality. Even with that much talent and a willingness to bend the rules, he also tends to fully embrace special tag team themes. Expect to see a lot of that loud gong in this one! It is always funny. When Fujita is paired with the blazing chef, “Blue Hearts” Sayaka Obihiro, even more possibilities appear (as does lots of maniacal laughing)! As the Soul of ChocoPro, she is one of the main pillars of the promotion. I sincerely recommend checking out Obi’s postings for a refreshingly unique approach to wrestling philosophy...and also great food. In between being an awesome cook outside of Ichigaya, Obi has been employing an overwhelming serious edge these days. This Rocky lover and Baseball enthusiast is eternally ready to dish out some devastating chops and flash pins! Obihiro consistently shows off her tag specialization, so don’t sleep on this veteran of Ichigaya. Obi’s undeniable passion and Fujita’s ruthlessness will be leveled against both, but expect Obihiro to show some sparks against Miya especially, given their upcoming singles at New Dawn... The Rivals reunite! First up, "Say Hellooooooo!" to “Too Much Energy” Chie Koishikawa, the "Ace of the Fourth Generation" (see what I mean?)! The hyperactive striker is known for her passionate nature and limitless agility. This frantic former fencer deals out backhanded knuckle chops, aerial slashes, and eye catching Stretch Mufflers with ease. Chie has been an absolute workhorse for ChocoPro and deserves all the fans she gained. Chie will be facing the Gatoh Move Veteran team of Hagane & Sawasdee Kamen at New Dawn, so this will be an intense warm up (befitting the super stamina monster!). Next up is Ichigaya’s Lucky Charm, Miya Yotsuba! Named for the Four Leaf Clover, Miya has vibrant mint gear, a strength based flashy offense, and a great move set that keeps growing (watch for those uppercuts and backbreakers). The popular powerhouse is looking to rise once again in Ichigaya’s strange (and cruel) world, but has been hitting some speed bumps along the way (not counting overwhelming everyone with her Halloween Costume). It is hard to believe how fresh she is to pro-wrestling, considering how incredible Miya already is. She is on her way back to the pinnacle of the promotion, but the OSS (and more specifically Obi) will be looking to block that signature momentum. Regardless, the future is bright for both Ichigaya’s speed demon and powerful Lucky Charm! What happens when you combine extreme speed with ultra power? These two have a slow burn rivalry of their own beyond their desire to win, so expect this bout to be intensely volatile. Shin Black Comaneci (Tokiko “Otoki” Kirihara 💃 & Antonio Honda 🍯) 🆚 Mei Suruga 🍎 & Choun Shiryu 🐉 Otoki Celebration The eye-catching villains known as Shin Black Comaneci (Antonio Honda & Tokiko Kirihara) are always willing to raise some hell, especially in honor of Otoki's special day! They're also always showing up in wild new outfits, switching names to match whatever odd theme they're doing now, and to be honest you just never know what they're going to do next. We haven’t gotten as many Shin Black Comaneci matches lately, the former champs are dearly missed! Anton is a comedic sadist & storyteller that bends the rules of reality, and his jokes take on a more vicious angle when he pairs with Otoki. He is a solid wrestler (and singer) with a brilliant mind for improv (and a great new beard!). His partner Tokiko “Otoki” Kirihara is a straight forward combatant and major threat across the board. She is known for her hiking and heavy striking...but isn’t opposed to some prop comedy violence herself. Tokiko is a special part of the promotion, also providing lots of opportunities for fun, fitness, and excellent photography behind the scenes. She lives a full life that many should aspire to, while consistently surprising in our sphere with her wonderful personality! This timeless dancing, kicking, Judo throwing, Showa Era fighter can go toe to toe with the rest of the roster: even her seniors. Otoki has a killer style that utilizes a lot of her combat background, but isn’t afraid of a classic cobra twist. Watch out for that slick themed pin as well! Will the award-winning kick striker show off some new techniques in this celebration match? Here's to another year of Comaneci! We're never certain of which Mei we will end up getting with this pairing , but lock in for a wild match any time Mei Suruga & Choun Shiryu get to team up! As the Big Apple and DPW Women’s Worlds Champion, Mei is a pin specialist and submission connoisseur (not to mention a total goblin) who will be looking to remind everyone just how good she is. Even at impersonating Otoki! Our beloved Apple Princess is unrivaled when it comes to the balance of tactics, technique, and innovation. Expect her to be fired up in this one, since she spent so much time getting in the Comaneci headspace in the last episode. Mei is incredibly gifted at pro-wrestling, undoubtedly destined for greatness in the Joshi scene. She’ll have an opportunity to prove that with the Dragon of ChocoPro, Choun Shiryu! Choun is a combat specialist that makes every match look like an action film. He is the gift that keeps on giving for the promotions of Emi Sakura, as his flashy style is timeless and provides a lot of explosive moments. The Kung Fu master is tricky and technical with captivating alternative striking and unique aerial tactics. Can those skills sync up once again with the Apple Goblin...who is usually his foe? Sometimes this combo results in a Mei Su appearance, but to summarize that lore: Choun often changes his allies into different characters that better suit his gimmick. Expect these two to have a surprising level of chemistry, considering how cruel they both are! Who will come out on top of this celebratory clash? Until next time! ChocoPro Wrestling is a free online & promotion (that also runs ticketed live in ring shows) run by AEW's Emi Sakura, that often takes place in the legendary Ichigaya Chocolate Square! It features a steady pace of Episode releases, fan interaction, long story arcs, and much more! A place where the turnbuckles are replaced with 14th floor windows, the ropes are replaced with fans, unforgiving walls provide creative avenues for skills otherwise unthinkable, and you can take solace in knowing that the referees usually do nothing. While it might be a shocking change at first, the intensity and storytelling will leave you wanting more. Think of it like the Hart Dungeon but as a promotion, if that helps!
