I have worked at Chipotle for three months and people need to learn some etiquette. Number one: very few Chipotle stores do quesadillas in person. It's literally not even on the menu. If you look at the menu the only kind of quesadilla you will find are the kids ones, and online it literally specifies on the app that it's online only. My Chipotle will do it for you if there's less than 4 people in line, even though we're not supposed to. Why are they online only? No clue. I'm assuming because they take a lot of time to make and during peak, having to pause the line for 35 seconds for a quesadilla to make sounds horrible, but please stop getting mad that we won't do a quesadilla when it's not even on the menu. Number two: this one is gonna piss a lot of people off, but if you pay in cash we do really appreciate tips. Most Chipotle stores will have to split them 5-7 ways and most of the time at least at mine I walk away with a dollar and a few pennies. Even if its just a coin, youre not gonna go broke from losing 5¢ it kinda stings then someone's change is like a dollar 25 and they fumble around with their wallet trying to shove the money back in instead of at least throwing in a quarter. Tips do help out a lot and Chipotle won't do online tips so we get even less than a lot of places Number three: Just throw out your trash. If you spilled a bunch of food on your table, wipe it up with a napkin. I feel like this is more just human decency. I'm not asking you to scrub down your table, but if you notices that you spilt a bit just wipe it up it takes two seconds Number four: If you are an adult who just spent $20 getting a bowl with everything on it and you ask for a water cup and fill it with pop, just why? If you can afford to eat at Chipotle, you can pay $2 for a cup. This one I dont really care much about I just think it's kind of ridiculous. And they employees all know you're not getting water in there Number five: Similar to number 4, when you do get a drink please dump it out in the drink machine before you throw it out. When I have to push down the trash, I constantly get water or pop on my arm from people not dumping it out and when I take out the trash I get trash juice on me because everyone dumps their liquids in there. Number six: just be nice to the workers overall. You'd think this doesn't have to be included, but it does. People are so rude. If I tell you were out of something, dont ask me to look in the back and get mad when I say we're out. If we had what you're looking for, I wouldn't say we're out. If I'm on night shift and we run out of cheese it's because morning shift didn't shred any. It's not always the fault of the person who you're scolding. Just please be a little nicer submitted by /u/First_Mirror176 [link] [comments]
