Disney is blocking guests without Disney Vacation Club membership from attending certain performances of Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue.Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue has been a staple of Walt Disney World for more than 50 years, making it just a few years younger than Magic Kingdom itself. Held at Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, the Wild West-themed dinner show combines live music, dancing, and comedy with an all-you-care-to-enjoy feast of fried chicken, barbecue ribs, and strawberry shortcake.Credit: DisneyOriginally conceived as a temporary summer production starring six college interns, the show proved so popular that Disney made it permanent that September. It has since become one of America’s longest-running dinner shows, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024. Its only major interruption came during the COVID-19 pandemic, before reopening in June 2022.However, not all guests can attend every show.Disney Limits Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue Performances to Vacation ClubDisney Vacation Club is bringing back Hoop Dee Holidays, the festive version of Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, exclusively for eligible Members and their guests. This year’s performances are scheduled for December 1 and December 8, 2026, with just two nights available to experience the seasonal offering. The special performances add a Christmas twist to the usual entertainment, with festive touches throughout the show. Disney has since brought back the event for subsequent holiday seasons, including 2025.In previous years, attendance has been restricted to Disney Vacation Club Members eligible for Membership Extras. However, Members have been permitted to bring up to 11 additional guests, meaning those without a membership could still attend as part of an eligible Member’s party.Reservations for the 2026 performances are now open through Disney Vacation Club Member Services. Fortunately for those without a membership, the restriction only affects the special holiday events. Regular performances of Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue will remain available to other Walt Disney World guests.Credit: DisneyHoop Dee Holidays is just one of several festive offerings at Walt Disney World this year. Elsewhere, guests can attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom, Disney Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Disney Springs will also bring back its Christmas Tree Stroll, which will feature a Bluey tree this year.Still, it’s understandably frustrating that one part of Disney World’s holiday celebrations is reserved for Disney Vacation Club Members, especially when Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is normally open to all guests willing to purchase a ticket (and so many Disney World highlights have slipped behind paywalls in recent years). While the regular show remains available, those without access to an eligible membership will miss out on its festive makeover.Have you ever attended Hoop Dee Holidays? The post Disney Limits Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue Performances to Vacation Club, Blocks Regular Bookings appeared first on Inside the Magic.
