PS5 on Firmware 13.60 shuts down completely 1–5 minutes after running the jailbreak

Wait 5 sec.

Hi everyone. I'm looking for some help troubleshooting an issue with a friend's PS5. The console is running firmware 13.60 and uses WebKit Autoloader v0.6.2 to launch the jailbreak. The problem started after my friend moved the console from my house to another city and connected it to a different internet connection. Before that, the jailbreak was working normally. Here's what's happening: The PS5 works perfectly fine when the jailbreak is not running. Once the jailbreak is successfully launched, the console shuts down completely after approximately 1–5 minutes. This happens even when the console is left idle on the main menu, without launching any games or applications. The console does not display any warning or error message before shutting down. The white power indicator disappears completely. It can be turned on again immediately using the controller, without unplugging it from the power outlet. No storage repair message appears when turning it back on. Payloads and troubleshooting: The console previously had three payloads configured to load automatically through Payload Manager: NanoDNS ShadowMount Plus kstuff Lite All three were installed before the shutdown issue started. We disabled NanoDNS, but the problem persisted. We also tested launching the jailbreak without starting any payloads, and the console still shut down. Network configuration: The console was originally connected to a different network, using a different laptop to host the WebKit server. Now, the PS5 and the laptop hosting the server are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. The PS5's DNS settings were manually changed to 127.0.0.1, thinking this might fix the issue. We also came across the DNS address 62.210.38.117, but haven't confirmed whether it is relevant to this setup. My questions: Could changing internet connections or network configurations cause this kind of instability? Could WebKit Autoloader v0.6.2 or the jailbreak exploit itself cause the console to shut down completely? Is there any known issue with firmware 13.60 that could explain this behavior? What would you recommend checking next? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! submitted by /u/Weeb_Trasher [link] [comments]
