My co-founder and I are both runners, and we've been building a training app for the kind of runner who actually looks at their data. Before we wrote any code, I'd spent about four years tracking my own heart rate, pace, HRV and sleep in spreadsheets, because no app told me what I wanted to know. We use AI to help build, but the product is the training logic and UI: it picks out the reps in your workouts, adapts your plan to how runs actually went, and lets you shape the plan yourself instead of following a black box. The problem is that everywhere I look is flooded with "AI running coaches" that were clearly vibe-coded in a day. People have seen so many that anything that looks like a campaign gets scrolled past automatically, however much work is behind it. For those of you in crowded spaces: what actually built trust early on? And what did you stop doing because it made you look like everyone else? submitted by /u/Sensitive_Tie7502 [link] [comments]
