Would you use a link shortener that shows a small creator's video instead of sketchy ads?

Wait 5 sec.

My friend and I are building a site called Detour and want honest opinions before we launch. The idea: you make a link for your YouTube description, Discord, bio, whatever. When someone clicks it, they wait 5 seconds and see one card promoting another small creator's video or channel. No popups, no fake download buttons, no random ads. Then they continue to where they were going. Every click on your link earns you credits, and you spend those credits to get your own video shown on other people's links. So it's basically free promo for small creators, paid for by the traffic you already have. There's also a referral system and an optional premium plan, but the free version is the main thing. A few questions: Would you put a link like this in your descriptions, or does any wait screen turn you off? Would you actually click a small creator's video if it showed up? What would make you trust a site like this? Would you use this? submitted by /u/SnowyRawrGamer [link] [comments]
