Thanks for the detailed feedback — but a few things need clarifying. You tested version 1.0 “Nur”. Version 1.1 “Ihsan” has been out for a while and directly addresses what you’re describing: the XFCE performance issues are fixed, the Quran app is replaced by Noor Connect (a full offline PWA with Quran reader, prayer times, and tasbih), and the entire shield has been rebuilt — 5,732,267 domains blocked, 73/73 self-test pass. The 1.1 release also dropped KDE entirely — not because it ran badly, but because splitting development across two desktops was hurting quality. One edition, made properly. On the broader criticism: this is a solo project with zero contributors. The scope will always reflect that reality. But “primitive popups” and “half-baked utilities” is a fair description of 1.0 — it’s not a fair description of 1.1.Please retest on the current release before drawing conclusions: https://hidayahos.gitlab.ioIf anything is still broken in 1.1, I want to know — that’s a legitimate bug report.
