We’ve been paying the taxes for this for 15yr now and gotten nothing for it. My hospital is exurban, close to rural, plenty of poverty to go around. I treat so many patients who are uninsured, and I’m sure they can never pay their bills… I get a lot out of serving people with humility, even the ones who are ungrateful and act out out of fear or a lack of self-control. It’s like I provide mercy to those who would not offer it to me. This strikes that chord. I’m so happy for all of us. Maybe Alex pulled some strings, wherever he is.
