[FOR HIRE] Junior Creative Strategist | DTC Beauty, Skincare, Makeup, & Personal Care

Hi, I'm a creative strategist based in the US looking to work with DTC beauty, skincare, haircare, and personal care brands. I'm still pretty early in my career, so I don't have a portfolio full of client campaigns or ROAS yet, but I do have 4 speculative concepts, with one including a static ad concept I made. :) What I also have is a knack for creating good hooks from reviews! Over the months, I've been studying DTC creative, analyzing ads, researching competitors, digging through customer reviews, and learning from reading direct-response copywriters like Ogilvy, Sugarman, Halbert, and Eugene Schwartz. My process is- Research, Customer reviews + ICP, Angles, Hooks, Scripts, Creative briefs. Heavy emphasis on customer reviews, I find that most unique angles come from the ones the product or the brands ads don't talk about (like a moisturizer also being useful as a makeup primer, a lip gloss being used as eye shadow, or a serum being so moisturizing you can just forgo moisturizer, etc) For example, in one of my spec projects for a prewash hair oil, I looked at the reviews and created a contrarian hook based off of them: "Your hair oil might be making your hair drier." What I can help with: • Customer and competitor research • ICP development • Creative angles and hooks • Ad concepts and scripts • Shot lists and UGC/editor briefs I'm looking for freelance or project opportunities, especially with smaller DTC brands that need fresh creative ideas without bringing on a full agency. My starting rate is $350 per project, depending on scope and deliverables. I'm happy to start with a smaller paid project so we can see if we're a good fit. I can show you how I think.
