I shared an early CorePulse lab here recently. This update is about making it easier to contribute: I’ve opened six scoped GitHub issues, including two tasks that don’t require a Kubernetes cluster. CorePulse is my MIT-licensed Go project for controlled AMF/UPF fault experiments in a local Open5GS + UERANSIM lab, with a dashboard and real resource telemetry. The useful failure so far: after a UPF pod replacement, Kubernetes reported the new pod ready but six UE-to-UPF checks still lost both packets. An ordered reset plus direct PFCP peer routing restored the tested lab; the full verifier then passed 16 deployments and 5/5 external ping replies. It’s a result for the pinned local setup, not a general Kubernetes fix. Two beginner-friendly issues: - Go resource quantity validation: reject negative/NaN/Inf values, with fixture tests (#1). - An offline contributor quickstart: build, test and preview before setting up a lab (#2). Other help wanted: durable fault checkpoints, cancellable baseline runs, explicit missing metrics in CSV, and timestamped protocol log parsing. Every issue has starting files and acceptance criteria. Development and this post have used AI assistance. If you’d like to contribute, comment on an issue with a short approach. I’d also appreciate feedback on whether the starter tasks are clear enough for someone new to the project. submitted by /u/Lazy_Panic_7016 [link] [comments]
