Tottenham academy graduate Dane Scarlett has sent an emotional farewell message to Spurs fans following his deadline-day transfer to Leyton Orient. The 2026 summer transfer window saw a lot of movement in north London, with a whopping 54 transfers completed across both the senior and youth ranks at Tottenham Hotspur.Deadline day was just as frantic for Spurs, who were able to complete the signings of two players, Mykhailo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo, to bolster their first-team squad. However, departures from north London were also on the cards, with the likes of Kevin Danso, Pape Matar Sarr and Dane Scarlett among those to have bid farewell to N17.Scarlett, though, was a pretty low-profile move given the finances involved, with Spurs letting the forward depart permanently for free, although a sell-on clause was included in the deal.Credit: adlinc_photography / InstagramDane Scarlett sends farewell message to Tottenham fansFollowing his departure, the Tottenham academy graduate has now taken to the social media platform Instagram to bid farewell to Spurs supporters.Scarlett used the message to reflect on his years at Tottenham, from joining the academy as a youngster to making his first-team debut, while also thanking the coaches, teammates, staff and supporters who played a part in his journey. He wrote: “Tottenham Hotspur has been my home, my school, and my football family for so many years. For England, there is lots of promise.”Scarlett became the youngest player to ever represent Spurs in European competition when he made his Europa League debut in 2020 against Ludogorets. But despite his high potential, Scarlett never really got going in a Tottenham shirt, with the forward making just 27 appearances for the first team, scoring once and managing three assists in Lilywhite.ClubAppearancesGoalsAssistsPortsmouth FC4061Tottenham Hotspur2713Tottenham Hotspur U1823234Oxford United2241Tottenham Hotspur U211852Hibernian FC1311Ipswich Town12––READ MORE: Richarlison pushing Tottenham to accept Trabzonspor bid after verbal agreementThe post Tottenham record breaker bids emotional farewell to fans as he leaves on permanent deal appeared first on Spurs Web.
