USDTHB Eyes NFPUSD/THBOANDA:USDTHBYES_GroupYesterday Recap 3/9/26 Yesterday, USDTHB closed at 32.98 in the Thai market. During the evening session, the market was pressured by mixed U.S. economic data. At 19:30, Initial Jobless Claims came in at 206K, slightly above the forecast of 205K and the previous reading of 204K, indicating a slight weakening in the U.S. labor market. This put pressure on USDTHB, causing the pair to decline by approximately 10.3 points, from around 32.98 to a low of 32.88. Meanwhile, S&P Global Services PMI came in at 56.5, slightly below the forecast of 56.8, but still above the previous reading of 54.6. This indicated that the U.S. services sector continued to expand, although growth was slightly weaker than expected. The ISM Services PMI then came in stronger than expected at 55.4, compared with the forecast and previous reading of 54.1. This indicated that the U.S. services sector remained resilient and helped reduce pressure on the USD later in the session. Overall, the economic data released last night was mixed. The labor market showed slight signs of weakening, while the services sector remained strong. As a result, USDTHB initially came under selling pressure before rebounding, with the stronger ISM Services PMI helping to limit downside pressure on the USD in the short term. Fundamental 4/9/26 Key Events Today USDTHB: 19:30 — Nonfarm Payrolls | 58K | -23K USDTHB: 19:30 — Unemployment Rate | 4.1% | 4.1% USDTHB: 19:30 — Average Hourly Earnings MoM | 0.3% | 0.1% Today, the market will focus primarily on Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP), following the previous negative reading of -23K, while the current forecast expects a recovery to 58K. If the actual figure comes in above expectations, it would indicate a stronger U.S. labor market and could reduce expectations for monetary policy easing by the Fed, which would be positive for the USD. Meanwhile, the Unemployment Rate is expected to remain unchanged at 4.1%. A lower-than-expected reading would be positive for the USD. Average Hourly Earnings are expected to increase by 0.3% MoM, compared with 0.1% previously. If wage growth comes in above expectations, it could increase inflationary pressure and support expectations for a more hawkish interest-rate outlook. Overall, USDTHB is expected to experience high volatility during the NFP release. The market will primarily focus on NFP, the Unemployment Rate, and Average Hourly Earnings, particularly the difference between the actual figures and market expectations, which could trigger significant short-term movements in both the USD and USDTHB.
