Prime Minister Robert Abela and Opposition leader Alex Borg are set to address Parliament in the coming minutes, as MPs convene for an urgent debate following Yorgen Fenech’s acquittal.Abela is expected to address the House at around 9:30am, with Borg expected to follow at around 10am.The extraordinary sitting follows Borg’s request for Parliament to urgently reconvene in the wake of Wednesday’s verdict.Fenech was found not guilty by an 8-1 jury majority on both charges following a 55-day trial.Borg has already said the Opposition will table the recommendations of the Daphne Caruana Galizia Public Inquiry during today’s debate.Lovin Malta will be following the debate and bringing you updates as it unfolds.•
