We're hiring a senior product engineer to work in a small pod directly with clients, taking work from early ambiguity through design, implementation and deployment to production outcomes.Core stack: Elixir, Phoenix, LiveView, Ash. Oban, Broadway, distributed systems, data engineering, Python experience are useful extras.AI coding agents are part of the normal development environment here: exploring codebases, planning, implementing features, generating tests, reviewing changes. You decide what to build yourself and what to delegate, and you are accountable for what ships. We're looking for substantial production experience with Elixir and Phoenix, a strong grasp of OTP and relational data modelling, the ability to spot generated code that compiles but is wrong, product judgement, comfort working directly with clients, and clear technical writing. You can already be an AI-native developer, or a senior engineer with strong fundamentals ready to retool.The role is also part of Bonfire, our programme for building AI-native capability through real client work and close mentorship, and you'll help set the engineering practices future Bonfire teams inherit.
