Talk to us, we’re really keen to have it.“Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are two great British boxers. Both have been world champions.“They both recognise and love the fans in this country who have supported them throughout their careers, amateur and professional.“Wembley has hosted many fantastic events, including bouts involving Tyson and Anthony. We, the fans, want to see them box live in London.”Negotiations to ensure this contest takes place at Wembley are now underwayGettyThis would likely turn out to be Joshua’s final big fight across a storied careerGettyDifficult negotiationsAfter years of build-up and failed negotiations, Fury and Joshua finally agreed to face each other in November this year.The problem has been with Netflix and Alalshikh.They have been insisting on the fight taking place Stateside in New York.The main difficulty has been that in AJ’s contract, it says the contest must be in Great Britain.Hearn proposed to Alalshikh an increased purse for his man due to higher tax in the United States, and he also wanted the full purse for the Krsitian Prenga bout paid out.Amid all of this, Fury’s promoter, Queensbury’s chief Frank Warren has declared there is a cut-off point for everything to be agreed.If everything goes to plan, Fury and AJ will meet at WembleyGettyIn an interview with the Daily Mail, Warren said: “Unless AJ commits by the end of next week, I’m afraid this will slip away like so many of those great fights which never happened.”Hearn even stated himself that a deal needed to be reached soon if November 20 was going to happen, which is the proposed date.Since those initial demands from Hearn, Joshua has received payment for the Prenga fight, and speaking about that before his latest statement, Hearn said: “We don’t want to do the fight in the US, but we also understand it has to work for everybody.“At the same time, we’re basically being told, if you don’t do the fight, we only want to do the fight in the US, which we don’t agree with. We don’t understand.“We’ve been banging our head against the wall on that for the last two months. So, like I said, we’ve set out our position, mainly in concern to the tax situation that will deplete his net purse by going to America, which can be rectified.“I think they’re happy to do that. Everything else, there’s no abnormal requests. It’s up to them. There’s nothing else to discuss.”If it doesn’t go ahead, Fury has a back-up opponent and intends to fight at the end of this year, no matter what.
