ShareCarlos Quieroz helped Ghana reach the round of 32 at the 2026 World Cup, and he will continue as head coach of the Black Stars.Ghana have reappointed Carlos Quieroz as their head coach.Quieroz was first named as the Black Stars' boss in April ahead of the 2026 World Cup, where they reached the round of 32 before losing 1-0 to Colombia.Ghana finished third in Group L with four points, defeating Panama in their opener before a goalless draw with England, who finished third at the tournament.Quieroz announced his departure shortly after the tournament, but he will now return ahead of this month's international break."The GFA believes Queiroz's extensive international experience, technical expertise and knowledge of the Black Stars position him strongly to lead the team into this next chapter," a statement from the Ghana FA said.Quieroz, who has previously coached Portugal, Colombia, Egypt, South Africa, Qatar and Iran at international level, will begin his second stint with Ghana later this month in their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.Ghana's schedule is yet to be announced, but they will face Ivory Coast, Gambia and Somalia in qualifying.
