CrowdStrike is in an uptrend

CrowdStrike is in an uptrendCrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. Class ABATS:CRWDscorpirisThis is predominantly a technical analysis of CrowdStrike. The stock was in a long-term uptrend (T1) until mid-May. Note that this trend is determined on a chart covering a longer period than the chart shown here. The stock then broke upward and entered a shorter and somewhat steeper uptrend (T2). The steeper and shorter a trend is, the greater the probability of a trend break. I have references supporting this, but I cannot disclose them here on TradingView due to their policies. The new trend (T2) is supported by the moving averages, and (T2) has remained mostly above the green Ichimoku cloud throughout the trend. However, there is divergence in both RSI 21 and volume. The most recent top was nevertheless supported by high volume. A significant break either above or below trend (T2) could indicate a new direction for the stock. Technically, the stock is moderately positive over the medium term, with a time horizon of one to six months. It is important to remember that technical analysis provides a forecast or hypothesis with a certain probability over a given time horizon. However, new circumstances can arise that invalidate the technical picture. CrowdStrike surprised the market with strong earnings after the close on August 26. The following day, the share price rose sharply while remaining within the trend. This does not necessarily have to be the case, but if you want to buy a stock that has risen sharply following positive news, statistical evidence suggests that it is generally best to wait until the fourth trading day after the announcement. This does not always work, of course, and this was not the case here either. I have references to research on this, but I cannot disclose them here without risking having my post removed. Disclaimer: I have a small observer position in the stock. Note: You should always conduct your own research and assessment before buying or selling securities.
