I just saw someone say they were given 6 pieces of steak and ask who side are we on lol if thats true that really unfortunate. Feel like people forget that the workers aren’t the ones making the policies. They’re trained on how to portion, and just like most of us at our jobs, they answer to their managers and are expected to follow the procedures they’re given. I’ve worked at Chipotle for about a year, and I still go there as a customer because I genuinely like the food and the service. Honestly, I feel like I’ve only been skimped on protein one time. Other than that, I’ve been pretty satisfied with what I get. I completely understand being upset if you feel like you’re not getting what you paid for. Personally, if I consistently feel like a company isn’t giving me what I paid for or I’m getting bad service, I just stop going. I work hard for my money, so why keep giving it to a business I’m unhappy with? I actually applaud people who make that decision. What I find interesting is seeing people complain on Reddit, tell their friends how bad Chipotle is, swear they’re never going back…then get right back in line for the same bowl the following week. Working with people in my career has taught me that sometimes people just want to feel seen and heard, which is part of what makes communities like Reddit so engaging. Negative experiences can bring people together just as much as positive ones. Could Chipotle improve? Absolutely. I think using more of a cup/measuring system instead of a spoon could help make portions more consistent. Chipotle also isn’t quite like traditional fast food. If you go to Burger King, for example, the patties are standardized. At Chipotle, you’re dealing with ingredients that can naturally vary in size, and your portion can also depend on who is working. submitted by /u/Careless_Zone701 [link] [comments]
