Jason Cundy believes there is one Premier League team Bruno Fernandes does not get in.The talkSPORT co-host was involved in a heated debate with Jamie O’Hara on The Sports Bar.Fernandes gets into every Premier League team, except one, says CundyShutterstock EditorialIt came after Tony Cascarino had been asked if Fernandes gets into every team in the division.The Manchester United captain enjoyed a stellar campaign last season, setting a new Premier League assists record.His 21 assists as the Red Devils qualified for the Champions League saw him scoop the Playmaker award.Meanwhile, Fernandes was also named the FWA Footballer of the Year, Premier League Player of the Season and PFA Players’ Player of the year.Is Fernandes the Premier League’s best No.10?Despite that, Cascarino argued he would not get into the current Chelsea attack.He replied: “I do think there’s certain clubs that he wouldn’t get in the team.“I don’t think he’d be in the Chelsea team, with what Chelsea have now. Would I take Morgan Rogers (out), I’m going Cole Palmer and I’m going (Joao Pedro) down the middle?“Unless you change your system. You might play him as a 10, which you can do a bit deeper then, absolutely, he’d make the team.”O’Hara was unconvinced by the argument, though, as Cascarino’s comments were discussed on Wednesday night.Whilst Cundy initially agreed, he went on to admit he prefers another club’s No.10 over Fernandes.Fernandes set a new Premier League assists record last seasonShutterstock EditorialResponding to the previous remarks, O’Hara said: “I get Cassie saying obviously Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer, but they don’t play in the No.10.”Siding with his co-host, Cundy added: “They’re playing a three. That was his problem, when he played under (Ruben) Amorim. Where do you play Bruno? That was part of the problem.“I see him playing as a deeper-lying midfielder and that was Bruno’s problem. Bruno affects the game in the final third. It’s as simple as that.”Who is better than Fernandes?O’Hara then declared: “Bruno Fernandes is the best No.10 in the league.”Cundy disagreed, though, instead arguing Fernandes would not get into the Arsenal midfield as Martin Odegaard is better.The former Chelsea defender stated: “Over the last four or five seasons because four years ago Odegaard was the best No.10 in the country.Cundy believes Odegaard is better than Fernandes and would keep him out of the Arsenal teamGetty“In my opinion, he was. Bruno then wasn’t doing what he did last season.”A flabbergasted O’Hara responded by exclaiming: “This is exactly the argument. Bruno doesn’t get the credit he deserves.”Fernandes has already picked up where he left off last season with three goals and an assist in two appearances this term.All of those came in United’s 5-2 home win over Ipswich on Sunday.Since joining the Red Devils in January 2020, Fernandes has amassed 74 goals and 73 assists in 232 Premier League outings.He will be hoping to add to that tally away at Everton on Sunday, with kick-off at 2pm.
