It’s State of Play time, and IGN will be reporting live on all the gameplay reveals, trailers, and announcements as they happen right here in our live blog. The action kicks off on September 3 starting at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm UK / 3pm CEST / 10pm JST.Sony has two State of Play broadcasts set for today airing back-to-back (IGN will be carrying the stream). The first is a new State of Play that features updates and announcements from PlayStation Studios and third-party partners. It concludes with an extended look at Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy ender, Revelation.Right after that, we’ll get a new State of Play Japan, which focuses on games from studios in Japan and Asia. Expect new gameplay, announcements, and more from that one.We’ve got a What to Expect From PlayStation’s State of Play September 2026 article packed with our speculation live now, but my feeling is that Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet may end up being the star of the show. It’s been some time since we’ve seen the game, so a September State of Play feels like an appropriate venue for an update.Elsewhere, there are a number of PlayStation Studios that have been quiet for some time now. Dreams and LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule is among them, as is Days Gone developer Bend Studio. Will we see Firesprite’s Until Dawn 2? And what about Haven Studios’ Fairgame? Sony’s live service ambition has fallen apart, but the last time I checked, Fairgame was still alive.Check back right here to find out what PlayStation has in store for fans. Given what's going on with extraction shooter Marathon and developer Bungie's abandonment of Destiny 2, it probably comes as little surprise to see Destiny fans mobilize around this State of Play broadcast. The thing is, it feels extremely unlikely that Sony will green light a Destiny 3, which would surely be yet another risky expensive development project, at this point. But could Bungie have more Destiny in some shape or form in the works?
