VIDA Markets has appointed Michael Chen as Head of APAC, giving the FX and CFD broker a dedicated executive for its Asia-Pacific growth strategy. The company said Chen will focus on strengthening VIDA Markets’ regional presence, building teams and developing long-term relationships with introducing brokers, affiliates and institutional partners. The appointment was announced on LinkedIn. Chen brings around 20 years of experience in the global FX and CFD industry, with work across China, APAC and the Middle East and North Africa. According to the announcement, his background includes regional business development, strategic partnerships, marketing and international expansion.Former AUS Global Executive Joins VIDA Before joining VIDA Markets, Chen worked at AUS Global, where he held senior roles across marketing, business development and management, according to his LinkedIn profile. His previous experience also includes roles at MCC Markets, GMI Edge, CDG Global, FX88, MTrading, Admiral Markets and IFX Markets. Chen describes his experience as focused mainly on sales and customer relations within financial markets across MENA and Asia. In his own LinkedIn post, Chen said he had joined VIDA Markets as Head of APAC and looked forward to driving growth, building partnerships and expanding the broker’s presence across MENA. The company did not disclose country-specific targets, revenue goals or hiring numbers alongside the appointment.APAC Push Follows Earlier Market Signals The appointment comes after VIDA Markets advertised for a Marketing Manager for APAC and MENA earlier this year. The LinkedIn job description referred to regional marketing initiatives across key markets including Indonesia, Malaysia, India and the MENA region, with responsibilities covering brand awareness, client acquisition, digital content and regional events. That recruitment signal points to a commercial focus on APAC before the formal appointment of a regional head. It does not, by itself, confirm licensed operations or office presence in those markets. VIDA Markets has appeared in previous Finance Magnates coverage mainly around broader brokerage infrastructure rather than APAC-specific expansion. In 2023, Finance Magnates reported that the broker had joined the Financial Commission. Finance Magnates also covered VIDA Markets’ launch of MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 access for clients. The new appointment adds a named regional lead to that public footprint. VIDA Markets has not announced whether Chen’s APAC remit will involve new local entities, licences or product changes. This article was written by Tanya Chepkova at www.financemagnates.com.
