Universal Orlando has found another way to change what a night at its newest theme park can look like.For most visitors, a ticket covers the standard operating day. Once closing time arrives, that experience is over. However, Universal is creating another option that keeps a smaller group of guests inside much longer.And that option is already popular enough for Universal to expand it.The latest update gives visitors more opportunities to experience Epic Universe, including fewer guests, nighttime access, food, and other extras.The catch? Regular guests won’t be sticking around for it.Epic Universe Remains One of Universal’s Biggest DrawsEpic Universe has been a major part of Universal Orlando Resort since opening in May 2025, giving the destination an entirely new theme park built around five distinct worlds.Celestial Park connects guests to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Dark Universe, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic.The attraction lineup includes Stardust Racers, Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, Mine-Cart Madness, and Hiccup’s Wing Gliders.That makes Epic Universe a park where visitors can easily fill an entire day.But the park also takes on a different feel after sunset.Celestial Park’s fountains, lighting, and nighttime atmosphere become a major part of the experience. For regular guests, though, the amount of time available to enjoy that depends heavily on Universal’s closing times.Now Universal has created a separate ticketed experience specifically around those nighttime hours.Credit: UniversalUniversal Nights Brings After-Hours Access to Epic UniverseUniversal Nights at Epic Universe is a limited-capacity after-hours experience that gives ticket holders additional access to the park at night.Guests can enter Epic Universe beginning at 7 p.m., allowing them to catch Universal Celestial Goodnight before the exclusive portion begins.From 9 p.m. until midnight, Universal Nights ticket holders receive exclusive access to the park’s attractions and experiences.That limited capacity could be one of the biggest selling points. Epic Universe has several attractions that can draw significant wait times on a regular day. A smaller crowd could help visitors accomplish more during those three exclusive hours.Universal is also adding extras beyond access to attractions.Guests receive unlimited berry-flavored Celestial Popcorn and crispy Kimchi Bao in Celestial Park. The event also includes a cup, with refills available at Coca-Cola Freestyle locations. Character meet-and-greets will take place throughout the evening.Essentially, Universal is selling a shorter but more exclusive version of an Epic Universe visit.Credit: UniversalUniversal Adds More Nights as One Date Sells OutUniversal Orlando Resort has now added three more dates for Universal Nights at Epic Universe.The event was originally announced for October 3 and October 17. Universal has expanded that schedule to include October 24, November 6, and November 20.That brings the current lineup to five nights.More importantly, October 17 has already sold out. Tickets remain available for the other four dates at $179.99 (plus tax) per person.Universal announced the expansion by saying:“Additional nights added for Universal Nights!Enjoy limited capacity and the thrills of all five amazing worlds during Universal Nights at Epic Universe, a new after-hours event October 3, 17, 24 and Nov. 6, 20. Tickets are on sale now”The sellout provides an early sign of demand for a more exclusive nighttime experience. Adding three nights gives Universal more room to capitalize on that interest.However, there is another side for guests buying regular admission.Credit: UniversalRegular Guests Have a Different Decision to MakeOn Universal Nights evenings, regular daytime visitors won’t receive the same extended nighttime access unless they buy admission to the separate event.That matters because seeing Epic Universe after dark can be a big part of the visit.A typical operating schedule runs from around 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., giving a regular ticket holder roughly 10 hours inside the park. Universal uses date-based pricing, with one-day Epic Universe tickets ranging from about $139.99 to $199.Even at the top of that range, guests are paying for significantly more park time than the exclusive event provides.Universal Nights costs $180 and allows entry beginning at 7 p.m., with exclusive access running from 9 p.m. until midnight.
