Morris scored his first goal for the English second-tier club in a 1-1 EFL Championship draw with Burnley at Turf Moor on Wednesday. Fellow American midfielder Sebastian Berhalter teed up Morris for his strike, registering his first assist for the club. “Yeah it’s been a long time coming,” Morris said in a club interview postmatch. “It feels nice, I know they [the Middlesbrough fans] have been waiting a long time and encouraging me, so yeah it’s nice.”Kim Hellberg’s squad grabbed a 1-0 lead after 23 minutes thanks to Morris’ sweet left-footed strike. Morris’ powerful shot nestled into the right corner of the net, giving the visitors a first-half advantage.
