Suppressor manufacturers have spent years chasing a tradeoff that additive manufacturing is starting to remedy. Typically, shaving weight off a can also leads to a reduction in its sound suppression capabilities. TENET released its smaller and obviously lighter Limited series around solving that problem for hunters willing to run a muzzle brake, and the approach worked well enough to turn heads at Outdoor Life's recent 100-plus suppressor test, where a prototype known informally as the Reserve posted the lowest average sound reading in the field at 8.3 ounces. However, in parallel with that testing cycle, TENET was already moving the Reserve toward production. That work is now shipping, renamed as the VESPER Series, a 3D-printed Grade 5 titanium suppressor line in 6.5mm and .30 caliber options, and intended primarily for backcountry hunters.More Suppressor News @ TFB:Bersa USA Enters Suppressor Market With A Four-Model Lineup TFB Review: Q Honey Badger 5.56 - 1 Year Later Springfield's New Tri-Lug Kuna Offers Quick Suppressor Swaps TENET’s New Ultralight VESPER Suppressor LineTENET Launches VESPER: The Production Evolution of the Reserve Prototype That Set the Benchmark for Sound SuppressionAvailable August 26, 2026Dayton, Ohio — TENET today announces the launch of the VESPER Series, an ultralight titanium suppressor engineered for hunters and precision shooters who demand maximum sound suppression without compromising rifle handling. Available beginning August 26, 2026, VESPER represents the production evolution of the prototype many shooters know as the Reserve—the suppressor that recorded the lowest average sound level in Outdoor Life's 100+ suppressor evaluation.Designed around a simple philosophy—never compromise performance—the VESPER combines class-leading suppression, ultralight weight, and advanced additive manufacturing into a suppressor purpose-built for the backcountry."The goal was never to build the lightest suppressor or the quietest suppressor," said Jacob Albaugh, Founder of TENET. "The goal was to build the best hunting suppressor possible. Every engineering decision came back to that question."Unlike conventionally manufactured suppressors, the VESPER is produced from additive-manufactured Grade 5 titanium, allowing internal geometries impossible to create through traditional machining. The result is exceptional suppression in a package that maintains the balance and handling characteristics hunters rely on in demanding terrain.Available in 6.5 mm and .30 caliber, both VESPER models feature:Under 10-ounce carry weight32 dB sound reductionCompact 8-inch overall lengthDirect-thread mountingCompatibility with both TENET HORIZON muzzle brake configurationsMade in the USAThe VESPER is protected by seven patents and reflects years of engineering focused on solving a field problem rather than following conventional manufacturing methods. For hunters covering miles of steep terrain, every ounce matters. For precision shooters, every decibel counts. The VESPER was engineered to deliver both.Product AvailabilityThe TENET VESPER Series will be available for purchase beginning August 26, 2026, through authorized TENET dealers and on TENET's website. According to Jacob and Mike, the founders of TENET, the VESPER's numbers come from geometry that traditional CNC machining cannot reproduce inside a suppressor tube, which is the entire argument for building it via additive manufacturing in the first place (since they already went the traditional machining route in their prototype testing phase). TENET backs the design with seven patents, a sub-10-ounce carry weight across both the VESPER 6.5 and VESPER 30, and an 8-inch overall length the company says does not change how a hunting rifle balances or carries. Naturally, all TENET suppressors feature direct-thread mounting only for the weight savings. The new VESPER is also compatible with TENET's existing HORIZON 1-port and 2-port brakes, which add roughly 8 dB and 9 dB at the shooter's ear for extra recoil control on top of the suppression numbers. MSRP is $1,249.99, and they are available now through authorized TENET dealers and TENET's own website.
