Yankuba Minteh could join Liverpool in January after missing out on a “dream” move to Anfield in the January transfer window. Brighton batted away a number of bids from the Reds in the final weeks of the summer window as Andoni Iraola sought to add another winger to his squad. The Merseyside outfit were also interested in Crystal Palace attacker Ismaila Sarr, but were not able to pull off either signing, though they did complete the £106 million purchase of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain. Speaking ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash with Leeds United, Hurzeler said that if Minteh can “shine” in the next months, he may just “fulfil his dream in the next transfer window”, meaning a January transfer to Liverpool could be on the cards. Minteh can still achieve ‘dream’ transfer following failed Liverpool bidsAsked if Minteh is still committed to Brighton, the German coach replied: “Yes, definitely. He wears the Brighton colours, he wears the Brighton badge. He has been with us for two years now as part of the squad. He has achieved great things together with the boys.“It’s also about him now to commit. In the end, we always say we want to be successful as a club and then you can shine as individuals. That is what we have proved in the past, that if we achieve things together, the attention will come to the individual players. that will be the case also this season.“If the whole team is successful and the individual shines then Yankuba will get a lot of attention again and he can then maybe fulfil his dream in the next transfer window.“Now it is of course up to us to give him the chance to do good rehab and be again part of this group, but of course it us up to him to perform at the highest level because we know that Yankuba can be one of the best players, he can have a big impact on our performance on the pitch.“But in the end it is a team sport, everyone needs to be at their highest levels for us to be successful as a team, and then the individual can benefit.”Read – The Premier League clubs with the biggest net spend in summer 2026See Also – The biggest transfer fees ever paid by Premier League clubsFollow the Football Faithful on Social Media:Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | YouTube | TikTokThe post Minteh can still achieve ‘dream’ transfer following failed Liverpool bids appeared first on The Football Faithful.
