Two Assam police officers died and two were injured after a colleague opened fire. Another incident saw two suspected vehicle thieves killed in an exchange of fire. Police intercepted a stolen vehicle and pursued it towards Sonapur. The suspects then fired indiscriminately at the approaching police officers. The police returned fire, resulting in the deaths of the two individuals.
