Crystal Palace boss says Sarr will have to digest failed Liverpool move

Wait 5 sec.

Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage has said Ismaila Sarr will have to ‘digest’ his failed move to Liverpool.Liverpool saw two bids for Sarr knocked back by the Eagles in the latter stages of the transfer window, with the offers in excess of £50m. The Reds had identified Sarr as a potential option for their right-wing role after Mohamed Salah’s summer exit.Sarr had been keen on the move to Anfield, but will now be reintegrated back into the Palace squad once he returns from injury.Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Crystal Palace’s clash with Fulham this weekend, Sage said it will take time for Sarr to get over the collapse of a ‘dream’ move.“Like every bad situation, time does the job and we need time for that. He needs time too. First of all he needs to recover because he was and is injured. He is our player and we are happy with that.“He has to digest for sure because it’s a dream for a lot of players to play with this kind of club [Liverpool]. He had a good opportunity but in the end it didn’t work. If he wants to continue, you have to have a good season with us as he did last year. We know he needs time.”Read More – UEFA Champions League draw and fixtures in full for 2026/27See Also – Five of the best Premier League away kits in 2026/27Follow the Football Faithful on Social Media:Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | YouTube | TikTokThe post Crystal Palace boss says Sarr will have to digest failed Liverpool move appeared first on The Football Faithful.
