The death toll from spurious liquor in Gujarat's Bhavnagar district has risen to nine. Three individuals remain in critical condition while many others have been discharged from hospitals. Police have arrested thirteen of the twenty-one accused named in the first information report. The illicit hooch was allegedly prepared in Vartej with raw materials from Ahmedabad. Investigations are ongoing to identify all suppliers and distributors of the toxic liquor.
