I helped clean out a hoarder house - it was seriously overwhelming, and I know how to clean things. I do not live in a garbage pile, but walking into a home that had been treated like a literal dump was just a moment where you stand there and go “Ok, so we’re burning this all down right now, correct?” It’s a whole lot, and if you don’t know what you’re doing, you can absolutely do it wrong, or not do it at all.
