AIAPGET 2026: NTA announces re-exam for 49 candidates in Jaipur after power failure

The re-examination will be held on September 1, 2026, at 10 am at Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women, Jaipur.The AIAPGET is a national-level entrance examination for admission to postgraduate courses in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy. Candidates qualify through the examination for admission to postgraduate AYUSH programmes offered by participating institutions. The examination was conducted on August 22 in a computer-based format.According to the NTA, 36,979 candidates had registered for the examination. Of these, 35,837 candidates appeared for the test across 200 examination centres in the country. The NTA said the disruption was caused by a power failure at the centre and attributed the issue to Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited, the examination conducting agency.The AIAPGET examination was conducted today in two shifts across approximately 205 centres. After the examination and subsequent result declaration, candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can participate in the counselling and admission process for postgraduate AYUSH courses, as per the applicable admission rules.
