GBPUSD: Key 4H Range Resistance | Breakout or Rejection?GBP/USDOANDA:GBPUSDforexcitypro_leemeenalHello TradingView friends and followers! ππ Hope youβre all doing great and having a successful trading week. Today, letβs take a look at GBPUSD on the 4H timeframe and explore the key scenarios currently developing on the chart. π π· Fundamental Outlook GBPUSD is one of the major and most actively traded FX pairs, with its price heavily influenced by the monetary-policy expectations of the Bank of England (BoE) and the Federal Reserve (Fed). π¦π΅ Inflation, employment data, economic growth, interest-rate expectations and central-bank decisions can all create significant volatility in this pair. In addition, changes in global risk sentiment can strengthen the US dollar and put additional pressure on GBPUSD. ππ For that reason, keeping an eye on major UK and US economic releases and central-bank expectations remains important alongside the technical setup. β οΈ π Technical Analysis | 4H From a technical perspective, GBPUSD is currently moving inside a long-term 4H range. π Price has now reached the upper boundary of this range, where an initial reaction has already appeared. This area is extremely important because it represents a potential decision zone between buyers and sellers. π― π’ Bullish Scenario If price manages to break above the marked resistance and achieve a confirmed 4H close above the range, we could see the beginning of a new bullish leg. ππ However, instead of chasing the breakout, I would prefer to wait for confirmation or a successful retest of the broken resistance. β Breakout + Confirmation / Successful Retest = Potential medium-term Long setup π΄ Bearish Scenario On the other hand, if price fails to break the resistance and produces a strong rejection or a fake breakout, the probability of a deeper correction could increase. π A breakdown through the marked support areas would provide additional confirmation for the bearish scenario and could open the door for further downside. For now, the best approach may be to let price action confirm the direction rather than entering too early. β³ π§ Final Thoughts At this stage, I see GBPUSD as being in a decision zone rather than a confirmed entry zone. πΉ Breakout + 4H confirmation above resistance β Bullish bias / Long setup π’π πΉ Rejection or Fake Breakout β Potential correction π΄π πΉ Breakdown below support β Stronger bearish scenario β οΈ Patience may be more valuable here than an early entry. Letβs wait for confirmation and then react to the market. π―β³ π Whatβs your view? If GBPUSD breaks the upper range, which scenario do you expect? π’ Breakout & Long π΄ Rejection & Correction π‘ Fake Breakout β οΈ Disclaimer This analysis is provided for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute financial or investment advice or a direct recommendation to buy or sell.
