Part of me can't fully blame this mum, I worked in special education and level 3 autistic children require a lot of care. At the special school I worked at elopement was very common, but because the front door was locked by the office staff after school started and could only be unlocked by them, we were able to contain eloping kids inside the school building. And even then it would take at least two adult teaching assistants to herd a kid back to their classroom. Not convinced a dog is best suited for this job but I understand the desperation
