An ongoing incident at Disneyland Paris has seen Disney partially block access to the resort and summon the military.According to @DLPWorks, the resort’s southern access is currently closed to all guests. In January 2016, a 28-year-old man was arrested after security at what was then the resort’s Hotel New York discovered two handguns and ammunition in his luggage. Investigators later said they had found no evidence linking him to a potential terrorist attack.Later that year, the Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station serving Disneyland Paris was evacuated after three suspicious packages were reported. Around 1,500 travelers were cleared from the area while bomb disposal teams responded. The objects, including an abandoned backpack, were ultimately destroyed without incident, and the station later returned to normal operations.Credit: DisneyAnother alarm came in August 2018, when an envelope containing white powder was found inside a Disneyland Paris restaurant. Staff and guests were evacuated, and a security perimeter was established amid fears the substance could be anthrax. Specialist firefighters tested it onsite and determined that the powder was actually cocaine.In March 2019, a mechanical fault at Disney Village triggered a much larger panic after noises were mistaken for gunfire or explosions. Crowds fled, and both theme parks were evacuated as a precaution.
