# PLTR Aug 27: $180 Is Still the FightPalantir Technologies Inc. Class ANASDAQ:PLTRBullBearInsights PLTR is one of the cleaner charts on my list for Thursday. The stock already made the big move earlier this month. What it has done since then is more interesting to me. Instead of giving everything back, PLTR has spent most of the last couple of weeks holding the upper $170s. That tells me buyers are still around. But they still haven’t won $180. That is the level I’m watching first on Aug. 27. On the daily chart, PLTR is still holding well above the larger breakout area. Momentum has cooled a little, but RSI is still in the mid-60s. Nothing about that looks broken to me. The 15-minute chart is where the setup gets clearer. PLTR pushed to about **$179.60**, then backed off and settled around **$177 to $178**. There is short-term support around **$176.50 to $177**. Below that, I’m watching the **$172.50 to $173 area**. The GEX map lines up nicely with the price structure. There is positioning around **$175, $177.50, $180, $182.50, $185, $187.50 and $190**. The one I care about most is **$180**. It has the strongest nearby call-side concentration and sits directly above where price has been struggling. So Thursday is pretty simple for me. If PLTR gets above $180 and can stay there, I start looking at **$182.50**. If that clears, **$185** becomes the next real test. Above $185, the chart starts opening toward **$187.50 and $190**. I would not assume it goes straight there. PLTR has already had a strong run, and every one of those levels can attract profit-taking. What I want to see is whether old resistance becomes support. A quick spike through $180 doesn’t interest me much. A break above $180, a pullback, and buyers stepping back in does. That would tell me the market is accepting higher prices. The downside is just as useful. If PLTR keeps rejecting $180 and falls back under **$177.50**, I start watching **$175**. Below $175, the setup gets weaker. Then **$172.50** becomes important because it lines up with both the short-term chart and the GEX map. If $172.50 fails, I’m looking toward **$170**. That is the point where I would stop calling this a simple consolidation near the highs. So I’m not trying to predict a huge PLTR move Thursday. I’m watching how traders behave around one very obvious number. **$180.** Hold above it and the next conversation is $182.50 and $185. Reject it again and we probably stay trapped in the same range. Lose $175 and I get more cautious. Lose $172.50 and the chart starts telling a different story. PLTR has already shown it can run. Now I want to see whether buyers are willing to pay more than $180 for it.
