Jason Kelce has shed more light on what he plans to do with his career in the future. The former Philadelphia Eagles center retired from his NFL playing career in 2024, but has remained involved in the sport in a media capacity. Kelce retired from the NFL in 2024GettyKelce has made it no secret that he envisioned a career in coaching, and still does.“I would love to coach. I love staying connected to the game in a competitive way, involved in the Xs and Os,” Kelce said last year.“It would feel wrong to have all this experience and knowledge that I’ve gained and disconnect completely.”However, he acknowledges that coaching, like playing in the NFL, requires far more sacrifice than perhaps a media career does, and for now, the 38-year-old priorities center around his four young children.NFL Weekly Newsletter - SIGN UP!talkSPORT is your home for NFL in the UK as we launch our biggest year of coverage yet!2026 promises to be an epic year for NFL on talkSPORT – and we want you to join us for the ride.MORE INFO & SIGN-UP HERE!This season will be our biggest ever with live commentary of 90+ games, including behind-the-scenes access to international games and all three London fixtures, plus bumper coverage of Super Bowl 61 at SoFi Stadium.Exclusive interviews, hard-hitting opinion, latest front-office drama and top breaking news – all delivered straight to your inbox each week.“I think coaching would be something that’d be a lot of fun, and I’d get a lot of enjoyment out of that,” Kelce said on The SZN with Nick Foles & Evan Moore. “But the thing that really steered me away from that is just the time commitment and being away from the family. And I went into media thinking I’d have more time with the family. “Those guys are still there more frequently, but I am not not busy. I am definitely keeping my schedule full. I think that’s honestly helping in retirement.“Ahead of the 2026 NFL season, Kelce is expected to to move from the studio to the booth, where he will join Dave Pasch and Kurt Warner on NFL Network’s game coverage – after their $3 billion acquisition by ESPN in April.Together, they will call four games of the 2026 campaign, which includes his former team Eagles’ trip across the pond to London to play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5.It has also been announced that Kelce will be working alongside Pat McAfee on Monday Night Countdown as he returns for his third season as a studio analyst. She further revealed in her Not Gonna Lie podcast, launched that same year, that she would always book childcare for her children, even if he promised multiple times he would be there, just in case. “When I have to do something — coaching, something for Eagles Autism Foundation something for podcast, a doctor’s appointment even — I will schedule childcare,” Kylie explained.“My husband could tell me 72 times that he is going to be in the house during the time when I have to leave it, [and] I will still schedule childcare. “My husband is busier than he has ever been. We had a set schedule then; now it is an absolute free-for-all. … He is working so hard and really grinding right now.
