View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lovin Malta (@lovinmalta)Until now, patients being airlifted from Gozo to Mater Dei first had to be transported by ambulance from the hospital to the helipad in Xewkija.Once the new hospital helipad becomes operational, that additional journey will no longer be necessary. The change is expected to shave around 10 minutes off the transfer process, time which could prove vital in an emergency.Concrete and cabling works are currently being carried out, together with other infrastructure required for the helipad to operate efficiently.Video: Saħħa•
