An unironic “Hell yeah brother” can come from anyone, anywhere, at any time. It’s a versatile exclamation with the potential to express so much with only three words. You may think you know exactly who would say this, and you’re probably right. We’re not immune to making assumptions either. Either way, these three songs are perfect for those of us who love a hefty “Hell yeah brother” as a completely serious response.“Thunderstruck” by AC/DCAC/DC released “Thunderstruck” in 1990 on their 12th album, The Razors Edge. As one of the best-selling singles of all time, “Thunderstruck” is already a beloved song. It gets points for familiarity, and it’s also suitably high-octane for those of the extreme sport persuasion. Of course, an enthusiastic “Hell yeah brother” isn’t exclusive to the X-Games; it can really come from anywhere. But I digress; “Thunderstruck” remains a great song for an amateur wrestling walk-on, a motocross compilation video, or getting pumped up to make four dozen cookies for the bake sale at 10 p.m.“Crazy Train” by Ozzy OsbourneUttering an unironic “Hell yeah brother” is a pretty good indicator of how fun someone is going to be. However, there are a few additional metrics to consider alongside the phrase. These include presence and/or texture of mullet, number of unpaid parking tickets collected in the last six months, total amount of stick and poke tattoos, and so on and so forth. In any case, there’s a good chance someone with “Hell yeah brother” in their vocabulary will relate to “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne. This one’s for the “Hell yeah brother” that wakes up on the front lawn when the sprinklers come on in the morning. For those who walk the fine line between having a good time and becoming a danger to themselves and others. “It’s My Life” by Bon JoviBon Jovi’s “It’s My Life” may be the ultimate unironic “Hell yeah brother” anthem. Released in 2000, it has that turn of the century cringe factor, but it’s still enough of a rock banger to make up for it.
