Mourya Bharadwaj and Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar issued the directions at a review meeting held at the Collectorate here on Friday.Mr. Mourya Bharadwaj directed Drug Inspectors to take stringent action against medical shops selling intoxicant medicines without prescriptions. He asked railway officials, the Government Railway Police and the civil police to keep a close watch on the surroundings of railway stations and bus stands to disrupt the drug supply chain.Education Department officials were directed to intensify anti-drug awareness programmes under the Nashamukth Vidyalaya Abhiyan and the 2026-29 SSS action plan.
