A consumer commission has directed Acharya Institute of Technology to pay Rs 2,27,965 to a father, whose son was unable to sit for his exam due to fee issues. The institute was found accountable for fees retained by admission agents, despite a payment of Rs 2.90 lakh made for the son's admission. Additionally, the commission approved the withdrawal of a prior Rs 1.53 lakh compensation.
