‘Hope Amazon fired him’: Amazon delivery driver in Texas filmed screaming at ‘nice’ gardener who he claimed almost cut his toes off

Wait 5 sec.

Working as an Amazon delivery driver can be a rather stressful job, but taking those frustrations out on others is never the solution. People are calling for one delivery driver to face consequences after Ring camera footage shared on TikTok showed him berating a gardener and claiming he almost cut off his toes after pushing a lawnmower a little too close. The clip, which was posted by “isa_xo24” shows the moment the Amazon driver dropped off the package at the door and turned around to leave. As he does so, Mr Herbert, the gardener, is seen taking up a chunk of the pathway with his lawnmower, forcing the Amazon delivery man to move slightly to his right to avoid him. As he moves to the side, the delivery man is seen raising his arms in apparent disbelief that the gardener should get in his way. Continuing to walk down the path, the Amazon worker seems visibly irritated by the minor inconvenience, and when Mr Herbert switches his lawnmower off, the driver begins to scream at him. @isa_xo24 He was not that professional screaming at Mr. Herbert and cursing him out. Mr. Herbert is such a nice man. #fyp#desoto#amazon #blowthisup ♬ original sound – 𝚒𝚊𝚖𝚐𝚒𝚜𝚎𝚕𝚊𝚊𝚒𝚍𝚊ᥫ᭡ The driver can be heard yelling, “Don’t take up the whole f—ing sidewalk!” telling Herbert that the blade could have cut his toes off. While the gardener remains calm, the Amazon worker continues to get more irate, telling Herbert, “You are a professional; be professional!” Blowing off steam Some viewers on TikTok somewhat sympathized with the delivery man, claiming that working for Amazon could be stressful and that the man likely “just wanted to blow off some steam,” although they admitted that that didn’t excuse his behavior at all. “Working at Amazon is stressful, doesn’t give him the right to treat someone else like s–t though,” one comment reads. Others were far less sympathetic towards the Amazon worker, with many advising Isa to forward her video to his workplace: “Please tell me you sent this to Amazon,” wrote one, “I hope Amazon fired him.” Isa also claimed that Mr Herbert “is such a nice man,” and called out the apparent hypocrisy of the driver’s unprofessionalism for yelling at him. In a second video, the driver returns to the front door and rings the bell before speaking into the camera, accusing Mr Herbert of assault and threatening to call the police. He then walks off camera in the direction of the gardener, where he can be heard continuing to yell. So far, there haven’t been any more updates regarding what happened between the Amazon driver and Mr Herbert. Whether he faced consequences for his outburst or not remains to be seen.
