File | Photo Credit: Badiger PKAbhay Patil, MLA from Belagavi dakshin, was among the six injured in a road accident in New Delhi on Sunday (August 23, 2026) night.A hatchback that hit a divider, crossed the other railing and hit the SUV in which Mr. Patil was travelling in the opposite direction. It occurred near the PWD office under the jurisdiction of I.P. Estate police station in central Delhi.Mr. Patil and Anil Jha, MLA from Kirari assembly constituency in Delhi were travelling in the car.Ashutosh Pandey, 32, his wife and two children were in the other car.Police and fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations.
